The best training week is not the hardest one you can survive. It is the strongest week you can repeat while still working, sleeping and living normally.
Start with the days you can protect
Choose two or three sessions that fit your real diary. Anchor those first, then treat anything extra as a bonus. Consistency beats a perfect plan that collapses after ten days.
Give every gym session one main job
A clear session is easier to execute and easier to recover from. One day might build lower-body strength, another upper-body strength, and another your aerobic base.
- Two full-body strength sessions for a busy beginner
- One steady cardio session where conversation is still possible
- Optional short conditioning only when recovery is good
Progress one thing at a time
Add a repetition, a small amount of load, a set or a few minutes—not all four together. Record what you did so your next session at POWS Gym starts with evidence rather than guesswork.
Use recovery as feedback
Persistent soreness, falling performance and poor sleep are signals to reduce volume, improve food and sleep, or take an easier week. If you need help shaping a realistic plan, speak to the POWS team in Brynmenyn.
